use this trick to create 3D text or other simple objects! As you can
see in the underwater layer, this has already been done for you
(Fig. 16.68 ).

To use the fi sh shape layer to make a 3D fi sh, I applied the
Shatter effect to the underwater image (NOT the fi sh shape).
Then, in the Shape area of the Shatter effect, I changed the
Pattern drop down to Custom, and then changed the Custom
Shatter Map value to my black and white fi sh layer. It's as simple
