The Vector Paint Effect
The Vector Paint effect is what we had to use to paint in After
Effects before the paint engine was added back in After Effects 6.
So, if the Vector Paint effect feels a little like a walk down old tech-
nology lane, you'll know why. Adobe recommends staying away
from this effect for most painting tasks. The painting engine in
After Effects (the one that applies the Paint effect we just looked
at) is far superior in almost every way to the Vector Paint effect.
