would have been completely replaced by blue, because blue has
the greater of the RGB values.
If we take the Operation to Minimum, then it replaces those
same 20 pixels with blue, because blue has the minimum RGB
values here. For practical purposes, we could have used this set-
ting to remove the white stroke. The edges are clean, and no one
would have ever suspected that this layer ever had a white stroke
(Fig. 5.40 ).
You can also use a couple of settings in the Operation drop
down that perform both Minimum and Maximum calculations
