our layer using one of the modes in the Operator drop down. For
example, when I increase the Red Value property to 100, and take
the Operator to Add it adds red color using an Add blend mode,
producing a brighter result (Fig. 5.12).
If we keep the Red Value the same, but change the operator to
Subtract, we get a completely different result. The result is cyan,
because the Red Value now specifi es how much red to subtract
from the fi nal result (Fig. 5.13).
